I had the pleasure to interview Ignacio Villoch, Communications Manager at the BBVA Innovation Center. After several informal chats and twitter exchanges we were able to setup this interview to discuss the Social and Human Factors of Innovation. We discussed the notion that innovation is powered by people and not just by technology and identified what are the human factors that foster the proper attitude for innovation. However, we also discussed the role of Social Media Technology in creating collaborative environments driving the opportunity for innovation. A corporate innovation culture is one the the key foundations for a new era of growth and Ignacio Villoch is one the main contributors to developing an innovation mindset in the Spanish corporate world. I appreciate his efforts in taking action stretching our imagination in pursuit of new frontiers. All companies should invest in this pursuit or risk be left behind.
